What does NearPro take out of each job?+
Your first job is commission-free. After that it starts at 10% and drops to 6% for life from job 40. By job number: 2–9: 10%, 10–19: 9%, 20–29: 8%, 30–39: 7%, 40 onward: 6%. Jobs 50, 100 and 150 are commission-free, and every 100th job from 200 onward is 5%. Your job count never resets. There's no cost to apply and no monthly fee.
When do I get paid?+
The customer's card is authorized when you accept a job. When you mark it complete with an after-photo, the payment is captured and your share is sent to your Stripe account. Stripe then pays it out to your bank automatically. Payouts are currently set to run daily with a 2-day delay, but Stripe controls the exact timing, so it can vary. You need to finish Stripe's payout setup first.
Do I need insurance?+
You can apply without insurance. You'll go live once we've verified your certificate. NearPro requires $300,000 to $500,000 in general liability insurance, depending on your services, with NearPro Services LLC named as additional insured. Until your certificate is verified you can't see or accept jobs. Same-day digital policies start around $25 a month.
How many jobs will I get?+
We can't promise a number. NearPro is new, and how much work you get depends on your services, where you are, your prices and your reviews. What we can say: you only pay commission on jobs you complete, so applying and waiting costs you nothing.
Who can see my ID?+
Only our review team. Your ID is stored privately and is never shown to customers or to other pros. We use it to check that you are who you say you are.
